This is my story...
Hi
friends, due to the poor internet connection, I am here blogging abt my Beijing
trip ok? The previous post was such a horrible introduction haha, this must be
a specific kind, IF I REMEMBER CLEARLY hehe :P
**oh
and one thing very important
China
is holding their communism meeting with the parties in Beijing don’t know whatsoever,
so they kinda blocked fb, latest news or etc, and practically most internet
connection as they don’t want any bad comments to be shown.. even china
students told me they cant even go to internet google so they are searching for
a way to get it, how sad for them (for example, if I type “OBAMA” in china’s
goggle, nothing can be found, its that serious so yeah….) conclusion is,
internet is worse than before mann
CHINA!!!!
WE NEED INTERNET!
Beijing Day 1:
Ok,
it was such an ARGH that we got to wake up at 430am to confirm that we had
packed our lugguage and get prepared to leave our Wuhan school hotel to
BEIJING! Sue, my roommate woke me up, bathe changed and off we went
Gosh,
it was so early that we got to wake the hotel’s security guard up to open the
door for us
And
GOSH! It was purely dark in the streets, everyone pulling their lugguage and I volunteered
to hold the torchlight
Haha
one hand pulling lugguage, one hand holding a handbag, laptop (to put in
teacher’s staffroom) and holding a torchlight
I
felt so proud holding the torchlight, the “CHOSEN” one to give the direction
-.-
Ok
ANYWAY, met the lecturers at 6am and we a total of 7 people got to squeeze in a
7 seater car, plus the driver so its 8
So
2 ppl infront and 2 ppl at the second row and we 4 at the back, gosh, the
slimming and shaping of our butts for once
It
was quite a long while before we reach the Wuhan airport (domestic)
There
is domestic and international airport, COOL~
And
it was freezing cold there, we can see smoke coming out from our mouth likka
woohoo~
Check
in, got our seats in the plane
First
time I was guaranteed a window seat but a wall beside me in the plane, what a claustrophobia…
Plane
touch down and temperature reported was ard 10 degree WOAH!
And
it was freezing cold at the Beijing Airport! OMG only had my uniqlo sweater to
rely on but glad it was good enough
Sadly,
we didn’t check in immediately but to visit some temples
The
place was called “Guide to the temple of Heaven”
There
were god of thunder, god of wind, god of don’t know what, a lot
All
lecturers were Christians so they were very particular of these so they were
like kinda spying on me
I
don’t believe in such things but I just want to see how these come about, like
history
LUNCH
AND DINNER WAS AWESOME!! Woo hoo, Beijing you rock mann, so much better than
the three gorges dam thingy
Other
than that, I remembered we went back to the hotel alr and OMG THE ROOM WAS LIKKA
BOOMZ lorh AHAHA
HOW
COOL and there is a bathtube!!! Wah seh!!
Beijing Day 2:
And
woah the BREAKFAST was freaking aaaa AWESOME
BACON
IN THE HOUSE~! HAM IN THE HOUSE~! SAUSAGE IN THE HOUSE~!
HASHBROWN
IN THE HOUSE~! And of course got egg la
I
miss all these food!! And surprisingly there is tea egg woohoo
we
went to a place called the Forbidden city
the
chairman MAO place hahaha MAO ZEDONG!
And
I realised in the olden times, to see an emperor was so hard
We
got to go through a lot of “doors” – entrance, don’t know what “men” and this “men,
that “men” hahaha and I found this palace named as Kun Ning Gong OMG it’s the place
where huan zhu ge ge filmed it for the empress palace hehe :P
As
usual lunch was awesome, everything was nice and filling to my stomach
After
that we went museums and our tour guide told us to follow another tour guide
who is going to explain the history of the place to us
Well,
we didn’t really listen cos her Chinese was too fast like as if she was
chanting
And
there came to a place whereby we have to feel the god of wealth and it was
located at the end of a cave so we got to go through this cave
WAIT,
I repeat again, I meant SQUEEZE through the cave
Gosh,
please, it was just like a size of a stone with a word craved on it
The
word consist of WEALTH, PROSPERITY AND BLESSINGS
and
ppl kept squeezing here and there until my friends and I got separated, and
when they reach the “stone” woah touch from top to bottom, left right up down,
north south east west touch touch touch, I was like errrr, I didn’t touch as I don’t
believe such things but I want to see only
There
was this auntie kept touching and looked at me and smiled
I
asked her in Chinese “you have blessings alr, no need to touch anymore, a lot a
lot of prosper alr” she laughed and walked off
HAHA
don’t know why did I even say that to an auntie, she cute only!
Woo,
fresh air as I stepped out from that cave of WEALTH -.-
Took
pictures of ducks and goose HAHAA
Finally
done with that history and we took a trishaw to explore the place more
It
was so fun and the rider/driver was so fun to swift left and right hahaha and
they can banged each other’s trishaw omg so fun! Dinner was great and we had a
time to shop around in Beijing
We
had one hour to shop, you know, to a girl like me is not enough
ANYWAY,
I SAW FOREVER 21 omg the first f21 I saw in china AHHHHHHHHHHH
SO
COOL, there was zara, Gucci so many branded shops mann Beijing so cool
And
if you walk further down, there are night markets which you can bargain like
crazy to the maxx for eg, sue got one product from 65 until 20 you know? Cool or
what?
They
know we were foreigners, especially sue with me, they think we were from USA
hahaa so I am ABC is it?
Beijing Day 3: GREAT
WALL OF CHINA!!!
All
dressed up, prepared woohoo!!! I cant believe I am in Beijing still and going
to the great wall of china which is one of the most, or considered the most
site seeing and experiencing place that every tourist should go when they come
to Beijing
When
we reached, I saw beautiful flowers and colourful tree leaves OMG, I dreamy
honeymoon
And
suddenly I saw one long concrete thingy HAHA I woke sue up and were like OMG
are we reaching soon? And we saw a lot a lot of “great walls” and the driver
told us we haven reach yet
OMG
EMPEROR QIN, you crazy or what, build ur wall so big
We
went through this tunnel, drove pass many mountains
Some
walls were destroyed, or collapsed you know.. yeah so we were heading to the
one which had the cable car
Actually
most of the walls had tourists climbing on, gosh, crowded china
The
cable car was shaky mann and we got separated from daryl cos the person grabbed
me and pulled me inside L
When
we reached, our lecturers and tour guide refuse to climb and so they gave us 45
minutes to climb, gosh the wall is not easy as you all think
It
started with a steep slope, so you got to hold on the railings and lean ur body
forward to climb, den there will be stairs which are steep as well, got to hold
onto the railings most of the time
Den
slope den stairs, slope, stairs til we reach the top, they kinda blocked the
place yeah
We
took a few pictures den went down alr as our lecturers were waiting
Halfway
down, we saw this man customized the certificate plates
OMG
this was my purpose of climbing the wall so I got it!
Hurried
went for lunch as time was tight as heard from the tour guide and we went to
this place called the Ming’s tomb which was partially a museum so yeah, nothing
much, kinda boring but just to go with the flow~
Beijing Day 4:
We
had free and easy time in the morning and so we four Sue, Kai and Daryl and I
went to the Silk market to look for cheapo stuff which opens from 930am til
845pm
Sue
bought her Timberland boots for 200 yuan ($40), when original price is 600 yuan
($120), good bargain right? Sue and kai bought a watch each from 750 yuan to
200 yuan
Next
up was the wallet battle, gosh it was crazy, sue got a Gucci and lv wallet I think,
both, the person gave her 950
CRAZY!
No much money to even pay for that, we were planning to leave, ok actually most
of the time in the shops including the watch shop, we planned to leave until
they gave up and gave us the price
If
you leave, they will pull you back until they get the money
It
was that scary! I gave up shopping there.. there was a big commotion there, I nearly
wanted to pull sue away and leave but in the end the person gave her the price
that she wanted so ok deal!
Omg
crazy! No way I dare to shop there again! its better to walk along the shops
than to walk inside the shop, cos once you go in, you cant come out unless you
get something from there..
Went
back to the hotel and met up with the lecturers and the tourguide to go to this
place called the summer palace
Sigh,
so far no snow yet.. only cold air coming out from our mouths
The
summer palace was raining, neh.. no pictures taken, becos one hand hold handbag
and its not easy to wear a wind breaker and carry a handbag on ur shoulder, its
very troubslesome and one hand holding umbrella and got to adjust here and there
with handgloves and all WOAH!
After
dinner, we decided to shop at night without the lecturers as they want to go to
other places.. so we took the Beijing train, its somehow same as Singapore but
those seats near the door do not have the glass panel for you to lean on but a
seat which fits on ur butt only, I almost fall back on a lady
It
was raining whole day and over turning our umbrella, what a challenging rain!!!
Hahaha
Beijing Day 5:
Sigh,
sue’s alarm clock was ringing and ringing, but I remembered we can be late for
breakfast becos it was the last day, as known as the checkout day
Getting
up to search for my phone, looked up…………….
OMG
WAIT! OUTSIDE SEEMS DIFFERENT!
VERY
DIFFERENT!
OH
MY FREAKING WHATEVERBOOMS MANN, IT WAS SNOWING
Ahhhhhhhhhh
I WAS SO SHOCK!!!!!!!! My mouth dropped as this is my first time seeing snow
right before me
Next
thing I did was to take out my handphone and snap a shot of the land
Thank
God so much for letting me experience this SNOW of His creation
Woo!!!!!!
Hallelujah to the maxx mann!
Time
to eat breakfast BACON!!!! Woots~!
I
woke sue up and said “look outside the window!” and she was like OMG also
OMG
THIS IS SO COOL!
Had
free and easy time as well before we check out the hotel at 2pm
So
we four went out again, hahaha marching in the snow woah!!! MY PARADISE FOR
ONCE, one thing that I might never get to experience this much in life again
I
picked up a pile of snow with my bare hands, and omg freak out! THIS IS SNOW
THAT I AM HOLDING, TOUCHING, FEELING, ADMIRING!
Sue
was like “OMG SOPHIA, don’t do that, you are going to freeze to death you know,
put back ur gloves!” OK LORH haha
Took
bus to places that we went before, like the shopping place or silk market to
check what we missed out buying hehe
Anyway,
snow was fun but very cold!!! Which also means to say that it was kinda zero
degree when we were sleeping?
Time
to head back to hotel as we had to check out alr, it wasn’t easy to flag for a
cab, as they refuse to send you to where you want due to the end of their shift
timings unless you pay them more which is a NO NO to us
when
we alight from bus, gosh, challenging against the wind and rain (mini blizzard)
Suddenly,
sue shouted “OMG ITS SNOWING?” “HUH, HUH, huh”
Who?
What? When? How? OMG I could see little tiny bits of ice flying
All
so evil, hit my eyes, I was like “Ah! Oh! Argh! Omg!” hahaha
Suddenly,
daryl tried something, he kicked this pile of snow and it happened to “attacked”
Kaisheng, gosh it was like one whole pile leh, den kai was provoked and he was
like what the.. kicked back HAHAHAHA
And
so, we had a mini snow fight!! Hehe so cool
Marching
in the snow, snow bits flying, snow fight, snow air from our mouth
Oh
and despite keeping our water bottles in our bags, becos of the cold weather,
our bottles surprisingly became cold hahah
I
bet if I cry, my tears will become ice bits alr..
And
yes, this is my Beijing story, flew back, flight delayed for two hours hehe,
love to eat in the plane..
Want
to buy a YAMAHA piano back but I know its going to cost me a bomb
If
only I have that money, I don’t mind mann!
ok this is headache, i have bad memory but any time of those days, we visited the Beijing Olympics Area hehe
